A structure that makes company news clear
A release should tell a reader what has changed without making them search through promotional language. Begin with the announcement, add the facts needed to understand it, include an approved quotation when it adds context and finish with a company description and contact.
These templates are examples rather than completed client releases. They do not contain real customers, funding events or partnerships. Remove any field you cannot substantiate and adapt the text to the target publication’s guidelines.
Product launch press release template
Use this for a product, feature or service that has a clear availability date and a specific customer use case.
[Company] launches [Product] to help [audience] with [specific task] [City, date] — [Company] today announced [Product], a [plain-language category] designed for [audience]. It is available [when and where]. [Explain the problem and the main capability. Include a verified detail that helps a reader understand the product.] “[Approved quotation explaining the development],” said [full name, title]. [Describe pricing or access, relevant limitations and the next step.] About [Company] [Brief factual company description.] Media contact: [Name, email] More information: [Website]
Confirm the launch date, supported platforms, price and access terms. A feature that is still in development should be described as planned or in testing rather than available.
Funding announcement press release template
Use this after the financing details and the parties named in the announcement have been approved for publication.
[Company] raises [confirmed amount] in [round type] to [purpose] [City, date] — [Company], a [business description], announced [confirmed financing details]. The round was [led by / participated in by approved investor names]. [Explain the company’s product and the use of the funds. Distinguish a completed investment from a target or commitment.] “[Approved founder quotation],” said [name, title]. [Optional approved investor quotation and relevant business context.] About [Company] [Factual company description.] Media contact: [Name, email] More information: [Website]
Specify the currency and whether the figure refers to this round or total funding. Name an investor only with permission, and do not imply that funding guarantees business performance.
Partnership press release template
Use this when both organizations agree on the relationship, public wording and customer implications.
[Company A] and [Company B] announce [specific collaboration] [City, date] — [Company A] and [Company B] announced [what they have agreed to do], with [availability or implementation date]. [Explain each organization’s role and the concrete result for the intended audience.] “[Approved quotation from Company A],” said [name, title]. “[Approved quotation from Company B],” said [name, title]. [Explain access, rollout or limitations.] About [Company A] / About [Company B] [Short approved descriptions.] Media contact: [Name, email] More information: [Website]
Describe the exact relationship. A software integration, supplier arrangement, referral program and investment are different developments; avoid using a broad partnership claim when a narrower description is accurate.
Final checklist before submission
- Every bracketed placeholder has been replaced or removed.
- The headline identifies a real announcement rather than a ranking or unsupported superlative.
- Names, dates, currencies and figures match the approved source material.
- Quoted people and named partners have approved their wording.
- Links open the intended public pages and the media contact is current.
- The release fits the word count, illustration and disclosure rules of the selected outlet.
For the Global and Web3 reference formats, prepare a version within 400 words and one illustration. Individual outlets may have different requirements. You can compare the writing add-on or review distribution options once the facts are ready.
Common questions
Can I use these templates for my company?
Yes. Adapt the structures to a real announcement, replace every placeholder and confirm the facts and publication requirements.
How long should my release be?
Length depends on the intended publisher. MediaRisePR’s Global and Web3 reference formats list up to 400 words and one illustration.
Do these examples describe real campaigns?
No. The bracketed templates are fictional structures for you to fill with your own verified company information.
